Understanding every fee that Etsy charges is essential for pricing your products correctly
Every time you create or renew a listing on Etsy, you are charged a flat $0.20 fee. Listings are active for 4 months, or until the item sells. If you enable auto-renew, the listing fee is automatically charged again every 4 months. For multi-quantity listings, an additional $0.20 is charged each time a unit sells.
Etsy charges a 6.5% transaction fee on the entire order amount, which includes both the item price and the shipping cost. This is Etsy's primary revenue source from seller transactions. For example, if you sell a $30 item with $5 shipping, the transaction fee is calculated on $35 total: $35 × 6.5% = $2.28.
When a buyer pays through Etsy Payments (which is required in most countries), you are charged a payment processing fee. This fee consists of a percentage of the total sale plus a fixed amount per transaction:
